The 2016 Ford Crown Victoria will be based on the latest global platform and will have a similarity with the new Taurus model. Along with a redesigned exterior, this new version will have an upgraded interior, packed with most coveted infotainment and security tools of today. Ever since its inception in 1955, Crown Victoria has come a long way and is now likely have various engine options and is now being touted as one of the most globally awaited cars by law and order enforcement agencies.

Ford is reportedly planning to offer various engine options that a user can choose from based on their preference in terms of fuel economy and power. For the first option, a 3.5 litre EcoBoost V6 engine is reported being offered, and there is also a second offering that promises better performance and power with a V8 engine. The engines will probably be combined with a 6-speed manual transmission and will come with both four-wheel and all-wheel drive options.

Some of the materials used in upholstering its interiors are not exactly of the highest quality but does live up to its reputation of being reliable and useful in every respect.

Technological features are standardized with a good quality audio system, navigation and possibly even connectivity tools such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. For the price the 2016 Ford Crown Victoria is offered at, we certainly cannot complain about its lack of features on the inside.

The well performing and affordable is expected to cost at least around $30,000 for its base model and is expected to get higher on with the increase in trim levels. The 2016 Ford Crown Victoria may be launched by the end of this year, or in early part of 2016. Note that this is just speculation, and no such official release date has been announced yet. It would be interesting to see if this upcoming model peaks the interest of law enforcement agencies like its previous version did back in 2007.
