2015 Lincoln Navigator Review

March 23, 2015

2015 Lincoln Navigator is a vehicle that has been released to act as a torchbearer for the brand. This luxury SUV will be looking forward to making amends to previous mistakes and bring forth a revolution in terms of sales figures. What really took us by surprise is that Lincoln, instead of following a new production and sales techniques, has decided to follow its older path and introduce some refreshments instead. Performance wise, we expect this car to exceed over its previous model, but as far as visuals are concerned, there is very little to brag about.

2015 Lincoln Navigator Exterior and Interior

The 2015 Lincoln Navigator is based on the same platform as its predecessor that released seven years ago. It has not changed in dimension neither has it adopted any different architectural design technique for its exterior. The same sheet metal cover has been employed everywhere except its tailgate and hood. At front, the grille has attained a split wing design that lends a truck like appearance to this family vehicle. Its rear lights look rather like a bad impression of what Dodge Durango had to offer. It also has a single outlet exhaust pipe that is placed below the bumper.

Inside of this vehicle has gone through some mentionable cosmetic changes and are now dressed up in finer quality materials. It’s large but familiar dashboard has been adorned with soft materials, but in other places like vents on the centre stack, extensive use of plastic has been made. It has received a new steering wheel and a central speedometer with two digital screens on its sides. Seats and comfort elements are same as before, but there is slightly larger cargo space due to a redesign in its seats.

Lincoln has used MyLincoln Touch infotainment system in the 2015 Lincoln Navigator and expects it to boost up the car’s value by quite a significant margin. It is characterized by radio and fan-speed functions, tuning knobs for volume control and a great audio system that people would expect. There has also been word that Lincoln will introduce Black Label trims, but no further details have been revealed in the bygone months.

2015 Lincoln Navigator Engine Specs

The sole engine powering the 2015 Lincoln Navigator is a 3.5 litre twin-turbo V6 unit that engineers promise will produce up to 370 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine will likely be paired with a 6-speed auto transmission gearbox and come in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. Lincoln has an advantage over its competitors like Ford F-150 because of the fact that almost all other vehicles are powered by an 8-cylinder engine and thus likely have lesser fuel efficiency than the Navigator. Moreover, Lincoln has assured best in class fuel efficiency and ratings.

2015 Lincoln Navigator Release Date

It remains to be seen how the 2015 Lincoln Navigator fares up in terms of sales figures of its competitors. From what reports we have gathered since its release, the car seems to be doing quite well than what we normally expected. If you are a fan of giant SUVs and require one for something more than just family outings, then this car just might be the right one for you.
